Pier 27 - Cruise Terminal
Project type Civic
Date 2013
Location San Francisco, CA
Pier 27 is the main port of entry for international cruise boats along the San Francisco Bay waterfront and a temporary base for The America's Cup yacht race. Phase 1 of the project, built in 2013, entailed the construction of the core and shell for use during the America's Cup event. Phase 2, to be built in 2014, is to develop the interior and the 2+ acre site to accommodate the cruise operations. Adriana Daringa's role on the project was managing a team of consultants to produce Phase 2 documents for construction while Phase 1 was being built. The project was a joint venture between Pfau Long and KMD Architects. Photos by Bruce Damonte
